Mrs. Irene L. (Kearnan) Ferrante, 94, of Milford MA died Wednesday (August 13, 2025) at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston MA after an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank T Ferrante Sr., who died in 2021.

Irene was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late William H. Kearnan and the late Josephine (Grillo) Kearnan. She attended the Claflin Street Elementary School as a young girl and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1949. She also was a graduate of Becker Junior College in 1950.

Irene was a lifelong resident of Milford MA and a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Womens Club. She was also a member of the Red Hat Club. Irene was a devoted dog lover & owner.

Irene had been employed for many years as a secretary at the former A. J. Knott Tool & Die Company located in Milford MA, working from 1950 to 1988.

Irene is survived by her son: Frank T. Ferrante Jr. and his wife Debra of Milford MA; her 2granddaughters: Andrea Ferrante of London UK and Valerie Ferrante and her partner Andrew James of Chelsea MA; her great granddaughter: Elly Ann James of Chelsea MA; her 2 brothers: William Kearnan Jr. and his late wife Blanche of Medway MA & James Kearnan and his wife Noreen of Medway MA; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews that she was extremely fond of. Irene is also survived by her companion Joseph Arcudi.

Irene was the sister of the late Carol Brillhart of Milford MA.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday (August 19th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00Am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Tuesday morning (August 19th) from 9am to 10:30am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to her Funeral Mass.
