Irene Grimes Obituary

Mrs. Grimes was born in Hancock County, Georgia on December 17, 1939, to the late Lewis Graham McKinley and Annie Askew McKinley. She worked at John Milledge Academy for over 10 years and later worked at Georgia College as an Executive Secretary for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Clark Grimes, a sister Martha Ann Arrington and a brother Alton McKinley. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son Trae Grimes, (Lanie), of Eatonton, two daughters Cheryl Grimes Nutter (Brian) of Guyton and Tammy Grimes Borders (Dean) of Byron, 9 grandchildren, Nichole, Brittany, Sean, Ashley, Jordan, Jaden, Jonah, Jake and Josie; 10 great-grandchildren, Baylee, Kylee, Knox, Gabriel, Kimble, Ada, Bennett, Hazel, Everett, and Lewis.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
