Irene A. Iwanski (nee Charneski) – Entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, age 96.
Beloved wife of the late Norbert Iwanski. Preceded in death by daughter Nancy, grandchildren Kathy and Bryan, and son-in-law Gordon.
Irene is survived by her children Susan (Mike), Diana, Linda (Steve), Janis (Bill), Norbert (Amy); brother Bobby (Patsy); grandchildren Monica, Michael, Matthew, Jason, Linda, Jennifer, and Kattie; 12 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Irene enjoyed baking, reading, crossword puzzles, and playing sheepshead and rummy. She was especially talented at weaving rugs, even being known as "the rug lady" within her church.
A special thank you to the nurses and caregivers from Linden Grove and Commonheart Hospice for their compassionate care.
Visitation to be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, 2322 South 106th Street, West Allis, Wisconsin with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00 AM. Interment at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mother of Perpetual Help Parish or charity of your choice are appreciated.
