Janet (Jan) M. Moscinski Kitowski Wooldridge Iwanski, 83 of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2025.
She was born at home on Wednesday, December 31, 1941 in Rockford, IL. She was the fourth child born to Steven and Ethel (Kronstedt) Moscinski. At an early age, the family moved to Junction City, WI. She attended Rudolph Graded School, Lone Elm School in the Town of Carson and St. Michael's Catholic School. She graduated from Rudolph High School 1959.
Jan began her career at Consolidated Papers, Nekoosa Papers and Butler Paper Company. She then worked at Bank-A-Count in Rudolph, Beverage Bottlers and Jay-Mar, Inc. Eventually, she was employed long term by First Financial (Associated Bank), running various banking functions. She later joined Fiserv, where she used her bank and computer skills to help financial institutions convert between systems.
Her marriage to Chester Kitowski on April 30, 1960 was later annulled; he passed away on February 2, 2022. Jan married Robert Wooldridge on December 18, 1982; he preceded her in death on February 28, 2009. On October 17, 2009, she married Alois "Lloyde" Iwanski; he preceded her in death on June 21, 2017.
Janet taught CCD when her children were young and was honored to be the godmother of six nieces. She was very active on the Headstart Policy Council and CAP Services Board of Directors, receiving the Gaylord Nelson Poverty Warrior Award in 1983.
She had a strong interest in family genealogy and helped plan large family reunions. Her hobbies included sewing, reading and dancing. She sang with the Choraleers for nearly 20 years.
Jan is survived by her children: Dawn (Steve) Pacholik of West Chicago, IL, Deanne (Thomas) Kuenzi of Manitowoc, Kevan Kitowski of Junction City, Denise Lewis of Waynesville, NC, Keith (Sharon) Kitowski of Fenton, MI, Kris Kitowski of Jeffersonville, IN, Ken (Sherry) Varga of Stevens Point, Kory (Nicole) Kitowski of Green Bay.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Kyera Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Kelsey Kitowski, Philip Kuenzi, Elizabeth Kuenzi, Rose Varga, Pearl Varga and great–grandchild Leland Carver.
She is further survived by sisters: Rita Bemke, Marlyce Kawleski, Marie (Don) Panko, Eileen (Tom) Pankratz, and sisters-in-law Dorothy Moscinski and Joan Moscinski.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, her daughter-in-law Marilyn Kitowski, her brothers James Moscinski, Gerald Moscinski and David Moscinsk, and a sister Eleanor Womeldorf.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be designated at a later date. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of St. Croix Hospice and Whispering Pines Assisted Living for their compassionate care of Mom.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Janet will be on Friday, April 25th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 324 Main Street Junction City. A visitation will take place at 9:00 AM on Friday at the church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Iwanski Family.
