Irma Frasher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors - Midland Chapel on Aug. 18, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Irma Mae Frasher peacefully passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior on August 15, 2025, surrounded by her five loving children. She was 78 years old. On February 20, 1947, Irma was the second of thirteen children born to the late Louis and Claria (Bow) Sequin. She was born and raised in Midland, graduating from Midland High School. On January 7, 1967, Irma married Roy H. Frasher and the two remained together for 49 years until his death in 2016. Irma enjoyed various things including westerns, Lifetime movies, reading, and needlepoint, but that did not define who she truly was. Irma took her love of needlework and made beautiful, quilted blankets for every one of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was the epitome of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Irma was patient, kind, gentle, loving, and so much more. Her life was not always easy, but she was strong; small but mighty. Irma expressed that strength in all she did and persevered to be able to give others everything she possibly could.

Left to continue Irma's legacy are her children, Vonnie (Richard) Schlink, Roy H. (Robyn) Frasher, Jr., JoAnn (Joshua) Ososki, Helen (Scott) Roth, and Terri Frasher; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 10 siblings. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Eric Michael; brothers, Louis "Smokey" Sequin and Dean Sequin; and special life-long friend, Donald "Porky" Donahue.

Funeral services for Irma will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2025 at Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street, with burial to follow in Midland Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 - 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Care Team Hospice or Hampton Manor of Auburn. All of us at Ware Smith Woolever are honored the Frasher family has entrusted us with the care of their loved one.
