Irma "Ann" Pfaff

Irma "Ann" Padget Pfaff, of Clemmons, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

Ann was born September 2, 1947, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Ancil Padget and Irma Andrews Padget.

Ann was a die-hard Iowa Hawkeye fan, avid NASCAR follower, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, and fishing, especially fishing with her Dad. She loved animals and adopted many cats and dogs during her lifetime. Ann worked as a manager for Revco and then CVS for more than 35 years.

She was a member of Center Grove Church for over 25 years and, for many of those years, served as a greeter, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara Elizabeth O’Shields. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael William Pfaff; her daughter, Alisa Wagers; her grandsons, Aragorn Hoard (Lydia), Garrett Hoard, Edward O’Shields (Hannah), and Alex O’Shields; and her great-grandson, Bryson O’Shields.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

As an animal lover, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.

Ann’s family extends their sincere appreciation to the family and friends who offered love, support, and prayers throughout this journey and to the staff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for the kindness and care in making her final days peaceful.
