Mr. Isaac Etheridge Sr.

With profound sadness we announced the passing of our loving Mr. Isaac Etheridge, Sr., on March 1, 2024. He was born on December 3, 1953, in Griffin Spalding County, Georgia. The son of the late Willie B. Etheridge and Myrtle Lee Etheridge.
He attended Fairmont High School in Griffin, Georgia. He was united in holy matrimony with Ms. Dicey Harris on October 6, 1972. After high school and his marriage to Mrs. Dicey Harris-Etheridge, Isaac joined the United State Army in December 1977, where he was a Aircraft Pueudraulics Repairman, Marksman and Hand Grenade Sharpshooter. It is in the military that he found his love for Martial Arts.
Isaac retired after working for Atlas Roofing (formally Georgia Pacific) for 36 years. In his leisure time he enjoyed cooking, Grilling BBQ, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved singing in the Antioch Male Chorus, and had a true love for music.
Mr. Isaac Etheridge, Sr., was preceded in death by his father, Willie B. Etheridge and brother, RJ Etheridge. He leaves a legacy full of loving memories his wife, Dicey Harris-Etheridge; his mother, Myrtle Lee Etheridge; daughters, Tanja (Alanzo Sr.) Respress, and Toni Foster; son, Isaac (Sherronda) Etheridge, Jr., of Orlando, FL; three brothers, Willie James (Mervin) Etheridge, Samuel (Kim) Etheridge, and Anthony (Phyllis) Etheridge; two sisters, Clara Harps of Detroit, MI, and Mary (Gordon) Sanders; eight grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, others relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 4:00 Pm - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. A Home Going Celebration with Military Honors will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. Rev. Zachery Holmes is the eulogist.
