Ms. Jacasta Lawan McGhee was born on August 29, 1978, to Anita McGhee Dugger and Raymond Carson in Atlanta, Georgia. Jacasta was a Grady's Baby. Jacasta received her formal education at Southside High School in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jacasta accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Beulah Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member.

Ms. Jacasta Lawan McGhee was employed by Kroger Distribution Center as an Independent Contractor. In her leisure time she enjoyed cross word puzzles, playing solitary on her cellphone, cooking, she always loved helping the homeless and the needy. The one thing she loved the most was spending time with her family and friends

On Monday, September 8, 2025, Ms. Jacasta Lawan McGhee name was called, and she answered and was free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. She was preceded in death her mother, Anita McGhee, her father, Raymond Carson; her grandmother, Ella Dugger, sister, Belinda Carson, uncle, Quincy Ware, and her aunts, Patricia Thomas, and Emma Turner.

Ms. Jacasta Lawan McGhee leaves a legacy of memories to be cherished in the heart of her daughter, Okecia McGhee, her two sons, Spencer Robinson, and Khalid Hampton, her sisters, Katrina McGhee, and Priscilla Carson; nephew, Quantavious McGhee, nieces, Kiera Cox, Katina Cox, and Bianca Benner, aunts and uncles, Karen Ware, Tiphonie Dugger, Michael Dugger, and Roderick Dugger, 3 brothers, Terrence Carson, Dexter Carson, and Dorian Carson. She also leaves abundantly amount of nieces, nephews, that age loved.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Pastor Terrence Wilson is the Eulogist.
