Isaac Osaretin Uwumangbe, age 75 and a resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Ann Ojiugo (Mbadinuju) Uwumangbe, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Isaac was born on January 30, 1950, in Benin City, Nigeria, to the late Benjamin U. and Christina (Iguowobia) Igunbor. He spent his formative years in Benin City, where he lived most of his life before relocating to the United States in 2024. Isaac attended Western Boys High School, Ikpoba Hill, where he graduated at the top of his class. He went on to earn an associate's degree in accounting, which paved the way for his career in corporate accounting.
After completing his education, Isaac began working in 1975 as a corporate accountant for Dumez Nigeria PLC, a civil construction company. He dedicated over 35 years to the company, marking milestones such as purchasing his first vehicle-a Peugeot pickup truck-in 1976 and becoming a proud homeowner in 1980. Upon retiring from Dumez Nigeria PLC in 2005, Isaac founded Osaigho and Sons Ltd., a civil engineering company. For 15 years, he served as general manager and chief executive officer, overseeing the construction of roads, monuments, and residential and commercial buildings across southern Nigeria.
Isaac met his beloved wife, Ann, in 1976 during a bus ride from Benin City to Onitsha, Nigeria. Their instant connection led to their marriage on September 2, 1978. Together, they built a loving home and raised six children, nurturing an environment filled with devotion and warmth for family and friends alike.
