Isabel M. Lucero, beloved matriarch and vibrant spirit, was born on August 9, 1942, in Trujillo, New Mexico. She left this world on May 31, 2025, in Denver, Colorado, where she had made her home. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven from love, resilience, and an undeniable vigor that all who knew her cherished deeply.
Isabel's journey began in humble beginnings but blossomed through her fierce determination and hardworking nature. She found her calling in the wholesale industry, particularly within the hospitality and restaurant sectors. Her passion for service and excellence led her to take a bold step: she transitioned from working for others to starting and owning her own business, ELC Purchasing. This venture was not just a job; it was a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit, one that impacted many and solidified her legacy in the industry.
She was feisty yet immensely loving, Isabel was a heartwarming presence to her family and friends. She possessed a fearless nature, facing the challenges of life with a laugh and a smile. Whether she was sharing stories over hearty meals or exploring new books and television shows, she radiated joy and warmth wherever she went.
Education was important to Isabel, and she proudly completed her high school education at La Junta High School. This foundational period in her life paved the way for the accomplishments that followed, particularly her pride in establishing her own business.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, which will continue to thrive through her surviving family members: daughter Jo, son Randy, and daughter Michelle. Their lives are enriched by the memories of her strength and tenacity. Isabel is also survived by her grandchildren, Anisetta, Kataleña, Isabel, Mateo, Desiree, and Tomas, and her great-grandchildren, Aimon, Areana, Isaac, and Aleeya. Each of them carries her spirit forward, living testaments to her impact.
Isabel was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Lonnie, as well as her parents, Tomas and Ramoncita Aragon. They welcomed her into their loving embrace as she departed the earthly realm.
A viewing will be held to honor Isabel's life on June 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the True Life Community SDA Church located at 6200 W Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80227. An additional gathering for family and friends will follow the service until 1:00 PM.
Let us come together to celebrate the extraordinary life of Isabel M. Lucero, a woman whose heart, wisdom, and courage will forever be a guiding light to those she loved and those who loved her.
