Linda Jean Atencio, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Lakewood, Colorado. Born on March 29, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose generous spirit and infectious humor left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Andrew Sena and Isabella Sena. She grew up in Colorado and built a life in Lakewood, dedicating herself to her family and her faith. Linda was a woman of deep kindness, a caring and loving heart, and a wonderfully funny disposition. Her generous nature meant she had a wide circle of good friends and a long legacy of people she helped throughout her life. Above all, she loved God.
Her greatest joy was her family. Linda was the proud mother to Brinda Atencio, Joseph Atencio, and Michelle Atencio. She held dear the memory of her son, Benny Atencio, who preceded her in death. The title she wore most proudly was "Grandma," and she took immense delight in the lives of her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. She was a wonderful cook and loved nothing more than preparing meals for her family. She loved to spend time with her loved ones, whether it was cheering on her beloved Denver Broncos or trying her luck at the casinos.
Of her seven siblings, Linda is survived by her dear sister, Irene Roberts. She is preceded in death by her parents and six of her siblings.
Linda’s unwavering love, strong faith, and unforgettable laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
