She passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 89. Known to many as “Marion,” she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was the heart of her family and the steady foundation on which so many lives were built. Marion was married to the late Matthew Roberson Sr. Marion dedicated herself to the people she loved. She was a proud and faithful Catholic, attending Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church until its closing. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, gathering with family and friends, traveling, and tending to her garden. Just like her loved ones, her plants flourished under her care. She is survived by her four children: Terry Perique, Matthew Roberson Jr., Bruce Roberson (Michelle), and Rickey Wayne Roberson (Ada), Daughter-In Law Gwendoly Dick (Danny). Marion’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Shante Timmons, Janda Johnson, Sierra Roberson, Taylor Roberson, Jalen Roberson, Jamon Roberson, Jared Thomas, Ricky Roberson Jr, Breianna Wright, Alecia Wright, and Micheal Wright. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Jamari Roberson, Jamon Roberson Jr., Jerome Timmons III, and Jasmine Timmons. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Matthew Roberson Sr., her daughter Robin Yvonne Thomas, and her son Danny Raymond Roberson. She will be missed dearly by her close friends, especially Barabra and Walter Washington, Rochelle Smith, Adrianne Harris, Michelle Brown and by many more who were fortunate to know her. Marion will be remembered for her quiet strength, her wise and gentle spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
