With profound sadness, we share the passing of Isaiah James Torrez on March 7, 2025. Born on Christmas Day in 2002, Isaiah was a precious gift to his family and all who knew him. Though our hearts ache beyond measure, we find peace in knowing he is now resting in the loving arms of Jesus.
Isaiah leaves behind his loving parents, Isaac and Melissa Torrez; his twin sister, Jenaiah; his sister, Hayley; and his adored nephew, Zaylin. He is also deeply missed by his great-grandmother, Angela Maestas; his grandparents, Gilbert & Betty Torrez, Jim & Gina Donaldson, and Manuel & Catherine Maestas; as well as his aunt and uncles, Chryssandra Maestas, Gilbert & Erika Torrez, and Adrian & Crystal Torrez, and family and friends.
Isaiah was a bright light, full of energy, laughter, and love. He had an incredible gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. He was always the one to crack a joke, share a song, or introduce a new game—just to bring a smile to someone’s face.
A true free spirit, Isaiah loved exploring nature, whether it was hiking in the mountains, walking by the Rio Grande River, or simply enjoying the beauty of the world around him. His love for gaming, music, and adventure was something he shared with enthusiasm, always wanting others to experience the things that made him happy. He also had a gentle and caring heart, which was evident in the way he loved his dogs, Brownie and Brazzeal.
Isaiah’s kindness, warmth, and joy touched the lives of so many. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the beautiful memories, the laughter, and the love he gave us. His spirit will live on forever in those who knew and cherished him.
Isaiah, we love you endlessly and miss you beyond words. May you rest peacefully in the embrace of our Lord.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, starting at 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel Southwest, 6510 Fortuna Rd. NW, Alb., NM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
