Itzelt Meza Obituary Itzelt Yoelda Meza, age 22, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia South Carolina. Itzelt was born to parents Nichole and Jose Meza on April 10th, 2002.
She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church and earned her diploma from Newberry High School. In November 2017, she inaugurated the Accessible Swing for people with disabilities, at Marion Davis Park in Newberry, SC, and participated in several Special Olympics around South Carolina. ITZY!, as her family and friends called her. Her birth and life were a miracle of God. Her parents, knowing that she was coming into the world with serious health problems, decided to welcome her and love her from the first day they knew of her existence. Her birth was difficult and the doctors only predicted hours of life, however God decided the opposite, and she gave us 22 years of joy and love; she was an example of courage and strength, a Warrior! just like her beloved parents and siblings. ITZY! came into this world to form a great family. Everyone who knew her was amazed by her joy: she loved music and dancing, she loved sleeping with her brother and sister and they always wrapped her in their arms.
ITZY was born with limitations but thanks to her parents and family she lived and enjoyed her life as if she did not have them; She rode a bicycle, horses, a four wheeler, a jet-ski, jumped on trampolines, climbed mountains, waterfalls, visited lakes and beaches in the arms of her beloved parents. She enjoyed listening to live bands while dancing in her father's arms. She lived surrounded by love. But she also had many days, weeks, months of pain in her body and now our Lord has her with him in His Glory enjoying eternal life where she no longer feels any suffering.
Itzelt is survived by her loving parents, Nichole and Jose; her siblings, Isaias and Xitlali; grandparents, Elizabeth Rivera, Tomas and Juana Meza; aunts, Erika Meza, Denise Meza, Michelle Ramirez, Corina Ramirez; uncles, Adam Rivera and Gerardo Ruiz; Cousins, Jacob Rivera, Cielo, Erika and Briza Ruiz, Alondra Rodriguez and Zuri Serrano, other relatives and friends.
The viewing will be held at F.B Pratt & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2, 2025 beginning at 3:00 pm with the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. Mark's Catholic Church at 12:00 pm followed by burial at the church cemetery.

Itzelt Yoelda Meza, de 22 aos, falleci pacficamente el sbado 28 de diciembre de 2024 en el Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, Carolina del Sur. Itzelt naci de sus padres Nichole y Jos Meza el 10 de abril de 2002.
Fue miembro de la Iglesia Catlica de San Marcos y obtuvo su diploma en la escuela secundaria Newberry. En noviembre de 2017, inaugur el columpio especial para personas con discapacidades en el parque Marion Davis en Newberry, Carolina del Sur, y particip en varias olimpiadas especiales en Carolina del Sur. ITZY! Como la nombraron familiares y amigos, su nacimiento y vida fue un milagro de Dios. Sus padres, aun sabiendo que ella vena al mundo con graves problemas de salud, decidieron recibirla y amarla desde el primer da que supieron de su existencia. Su nacimiento fue difcil y los doctores solo pronosticaban horas de vida; sin embargo, Dios decidi lo contrario y ella nos regal 22 aos de alegras y amor.
Fue un ejemplo de valor y fortaleza. Una Guerrera! Al igual que sus queridos padres y hermanos. ITZY! Lleg a este mundo a formar una gran familia; todos que la conocieron se admiraban de su alegra: le encantaba la msica y el baile. Amaba dormir junto a sus hermanos y padres, quienes siempre la arropaban en sus brazos. ITZY naci con limitaciones, pero gracias a sus padres y familia, ella vivi y disfrut esta vida como si no las tuviera; ella anduvo en bicicleta, moto, jet-ski, caballos, salt en brincolines, subi montaas, cascadas, conoci lagos y playas en brazos de sus amados padres. Disfrut de sus grupos favoritos en vivo mientras bailaba en brazos de su padre; ella vivi rodeada de amor. Pero tambin tuvo muchos das, semanas, meses de dolor en su cuerpo y ahora nuestro Seor la tiene junto a l en su gloria disfrutando de vida eterna, donde ella ya no siente ningn sufrimiento.
A Itzelt le sobreviven sus amorosos padres, Nichole y Jos; sus hermanos, Xitlalic e Isaias; sus abuelos, Liz Rivera, Toms y Juana Meza; sus tas, Erika y Denise Meza, Michelle y Corina Ramrez; sus tos, Adam Rivera y Gerardo Ruiz. Primos: Jacob Rivera, Cielo, Erika y Briza Ruiz, Alondra Rodriguez y Zuri Serrano. Otros familiares y amigos.
El servicio ser en F.B. Pratt & Son Funeral Home el da jueves, Enero 2, 2025, a partir de las 3:00 pm y el Rosario ser a las 7:00 pm. La misa ser en la Iglesia Catlica San Marcos a las 12:00 pm, seguido del entierro en el cementerio de la iglesia.
