Iwona loved spending time with her grandchildren and found great joy in nature - whether walking, hiking, or strolling with the family dogs, Lili and Maja. She adored flowers, botanical gardens, and was an avid viewer of the Nature and Discovery channels. A humble and sincere woman, Iwona lived with honesty and authenticity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Bronislaw and Bozena Haraj, and her sister, Halina Haraj. Surviving are her daughter, Agnieszka De Faria; her son and daughter-in-law, Jaroslaw Gryczynski and Lucyna Gryczynska; her cherished grandchildren, Helenka Gryczynska, Anna Gryczynska, and Dante De Faria; as well as many loving extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ, followed by a 10am Mass at St. John Paul II Parish, 490 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ. Burial will take place at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Iwona's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to Trees for the Future at www.trees.org. Iwona T. Gryczynska, age 75, of Sayreville, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Poznan, Poland, Iwona immigrated to the United States on May 22, 1992. She has lived in Sayreville for the past 20 years. Iwona earned a Master's degree in Biology and dedicated her career to tea
