In loving memory of J. Michael McIntire, age 63, of Chesterland, Ohio, who peacefully departed this world on March 13, 2024, at Ames Family Hospice House. He was born on October 18, 1960, in Cleveland, OH, to Duane and Yolanda (nee: Scarso) McIntire. Mike embodied the essence of strength, determination, and love throughout his remarkable life.
Mike's journey was defined by his unwavering commitment to his family and his tireless pursuit of excellence. He married the love of his life Sharon Ann Clausen, and together, they crafted a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Completing their family with four wonderful children who they raised with pride and devotion.
Mike was the proud owner of McAttack Machine and McAttack Racing in Willoughby, Ohio. His true passion and driving force in life was drag racing. Mike was a force to be reckoned with in the business world AND at the racetrack.
With perseverance and a drive unmatched, Mike excelled at whatever he put his mind to, whether it be drag racing, machining, or being a father and husband. Anyone who met him could tell he was something special, a character unlike any other. He was known for his humor, with wittiness putting anyone at ease, and charm electric enough to light up a stadium. His family grew large as friends were continually welcomed into it; a community formed by a single catalyst - Mike. We will be reminded of him every time we laugh or use one of his Mike-ism catchphrases, his memory living on in all our hearts. We will forever miss him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon of Chesterland; his son, Michael (Susie) McIntire, of Chesterland, OH; his daughters, Heather (Tim) McIntire-Gallagher, of Newbury, OH, Kelsey McIntire, and, Angelle McIntire, both of Mentor, OH. His grandchildren, Maci, and Michael McIntire brought immeasurable joy to his life and will carry on his legacy with pride.
In honoring Mike, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. His spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Chardon, Ohio. To share condolences and cherished memories, please visit www.burrservice.com.

I just found out that Mike passed away. I was Mike and Sharon´s best best man. I have way too many stories to tell. One thing for sure I could not have had a better friend growing up. By best to the family. And my sincere condolences.

In my early days of racing Funny Cars Mike was winning, I wasn´t.
I would go to his pit area and observe his methods and when he was on the starting line I would watch his driving technique. He was an absolute inspiration. RIP Mike. The world will miss you.
