J.R. Royston Obituary
J.R. was a sheet metal worker with several Wichita companies and eventually retiring with Great Plains industry. He enjoyed working with his hands and making crafts and projects. He particularly enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Helen Ruth Royston, his parents Jewell and Roberta Royston, his sister Dawna Leamon and his brother Carl Royston.
J.R. is survived by his children Ida Cherryl Andrews (Jerry) of Roswell N.M, Roger Royston (Ruth) of Fredericksburg, VA, and Jana Payton (Scott) of Kansas City, MO.; nine grandsons, fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held on November the 28th, at 10:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at Lakeview Funeral Home 12100 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206 with a private burial following service at Lakeview Cemetery.
In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions in J.R.'s memory can be made to "Know Your Bible (KYB)' through Northside Church of Christ 4545 North Meridian Wichita, Kansas 67204 or through link https://onrealm.org/northsidecoc/-/form/give/now under link to Know Your Bible.

Cheryl, Jana & Roger,
We are saddened to hear about sweet JR. He made such difference in Mom's (Oleta) life. He brought her so much love and joy and laughter! We all were blessed to have known him these last few years. JR raised 2 great daughters and son. I know he was so proud of you. He will always be a part of you and live on in your hearts!
