Jack S. Crane 100, of Framingham, formerly of Natick and Dennisport. Entered Eternal Rest on July 22, 2025, surrounded in love by his family.
Jack was born to the late Rose and Isadore Crane, he attended Stoughton High School, where he played football and graduated in 1943. Jack was then drafted into the Army on September 7, 1943. He served with distinction in the 82nd Airborne Division as a combat medic, participating in critical missions during WWII; including D-Day preparations in Normandy, battles in Holland, France, Germany and the Battle of the Bulge, earning the Bronze Star for bravery. He was honorably discharged on January 4, 1946.
Jack then pursued and earned a degree in Public Relations at Boston University. He had a successful career as founder of Intimates of New England, a company he led for 40 years and also served as President of the New England Apparel Club. After formally retiring he continued to serve the industry as a public relations expert until the age of 93 overseeing many apparel conventions in New England.
On June 17, 2025, he was honored with a proclamation from the City of Framingham in honor of his 100th birthday. For his dedicated service to community and a life of excellence.
Jack was the devoted husband of the late Arlene (Shapiro) the love of his life;. Jack was the beloved father of Judy & Marty Mann, Michael Crane & Lisa MacDonald, Jeff Crane & Laura Schilling and Stuart & Lesley Crane. Cherished grandfather to his many grandchildren, Tracey, Craig Ian, Drew & Catherine, Travis, Shawn & Andrea, Curtis, Coleman, Noah and Matthew. Proud great grandfather of Noa, Piper and Harrison. He was also a dear brother of Vera Burtman, Milton Crane and the late Annette Feldman.
Services at Massachusetts National Cemetery Connery Avenue, Bourne on Friday July 25 at 2:00PM. Condolences calls may be made at the home of Judy & Marty Mann on Sunday from 3-8PM.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory, should be directed to any Veteran's organization or the
American Cancer Society.
