Jack Lee Hines, aged 86, of Delaware, passed away at 12:48 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus in Delaware. Jack was born on July 7, 1939, in Radnor, he was the son of the late Edward and Myrtle McDonough Hines.
Jack attended Radnor High School and had worked as a successful Car Salesman for more than eighteen years at Crown Chrysler in Dublin. After Jack's retirement, he worked at the Cross Creek Campground where he enjoyed working the grounds and getting to know the campers. Having a passion for gardening, Jack tended to his beautiful and fruitful vegetable garden each year, sharing most of it with his family, friends and neighbors. Jack also enjoyed playing Euchre and watching the harness races at the Little Brown Jug, never missing a race in the past seventy years. One of his proudest achievements and a favorable memory he liked to talk about, was the time he chartered a fishing boat at Lake Erie with his grandsons, great-grandson and nephews.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Teri (Dave Williamson) Murphy and Marcia Bonecutter; his grandchildren, Shawn (Jessica) Murphy and Stephanie Murphy and his great-grandkids, Connor, SJ, Abby and Brynn.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sisters, Gladys "Sis" Hines and Virginia Miller and his brothers, Fred, Earl, Edward, Stuart, Harry, Raymond and Richard Hines.
In keeping with Jack's wishes, cremation will take place, and no services are to be held at this time.
