Jack LeCount, age 95, of Ligonier, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at home. He was born on March 31, 1930 to Roscoe and Ethel (Stacker) LeCount in Cromwell, Indiana. On March 5, 1952, he married Barbara J. LeCount in Angola, Indiana. She passed away on January 13, 2025.
He is survived by his son, Jeff “Dewey” (Connie) LeCount of Ligonier, Indiana; grandchildren, Beth LeCount, Krystal (Corey) Veach, and Eric (Sarah) LeCount; great-grandchildren, Nicolaas, Braydon, Matt, Paige, Axel, and Layla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara LeCount; parents; son, Todd LeCount; grandson, Travis LeCount, and great-grandson, Wyatt Veach.
Jack was a Korean War veteran and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the color guard. He enjoyed his coffee at the coffee shop, but his greatest love was his family and grandchildren.
In according to Jack’s wishes, no public services will be held. A cremation will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center with a private burial at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier to follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to Parkview Hospice in Jack’s memory.
