Funeral service for Mr. Jack C. McKoin, 84, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00  PM Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the funeral home. 

Mr. McKoin was born on March 14, 1939, in Jones, LA, and passed away at home on November 20, 2023. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Monroe. Mr. McKoin started working when he was 10 years old, mowing grass. His work ethic followed him throughout his life, as the former owner of McKoin Starter and Alternator, and later in his land clearing business. He was a member of the National Guard. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, but his passion was spending time with his grandchildren. He spent countless hours through the years supporting the grandchildren at various sporting events. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Ruth McKoin; and siblings, Marion Crawley, Billy Jim McKoin, and Bobby McKoin. 

Survivors include: his wife of 64 years, Jeanette McKoin; sons, Jay McKoin (Johnnie), and Jody McKoin; grandchildren, Kelby McKoin (Magen), Kadee Arender (Seth), Kellen McKoin (Jaycie), Connor McKoin, and Carson McKoin; great grandson, William Elic McKoin; sister, Margaret Ann Tietz, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

Pallbearers will be, Kelby McKoin, Kellen McKoin, Connor McKoin, Carson McKoin, Seth Arender, and Rochelle Morris. 

Honorary pallbearers are, Michael Crawley, Barry Turner, David Ray Jones, and Preston McKoin.
