Jack Thomason Obituary
Joseph Jack Thomason, 93, of Ila passed away on February 19, 2024.
He was born July 8, 1930 to the late Joe E. and Laura F. Thomason. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Windfred, Caiphas and Walter; sisters, Laura and Ellen (Candy).
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville with Rev. Jerome Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Ila Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:30am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of seventy-one years, Louise; son, Tommy (Connie) Thomason; daughter, Debbie (Dennis) Wood; sisters, Geraldine Allen and Eva Craft; brothers, Doris Thomason, Kenneth Thomason and Aubrey Thomason; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Thomason was a member of the Ila Baptist Church and served four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Jackson EMC after many years of dedicated service. He was an avid cattle farmer until his peaceful passing.
