Kernersville – Jack Randolph Whittington, Sr., 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, November 1, 2025, at his home. He was born on March 17, 1939, in Wilkes County, NC to the late Walter and Grace Randolph Whittington. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, who will truly be missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Whittington.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ruby Roten Whittington; two children, Jack (“Randy”) Whittington, Jr., wife, Patricia, and Kathy Sain; six grandchildren, Haley Sain, Tyler Sain, Megan Sain, Levi Goodman, Isabella Goodman, and Joshua Whittington; five great grandchildren, Melanie Sain, Morgan Sain, Waylon Goodman, Harper Goodman, and Finley Mercado.
A funeral service will be held 11:30 AM, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Dr. Justin Cooper and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. There will be a public viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment following the service at 3:00 PM at the Graybeal-Roten Family Cemetery in Warrensville, NC. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
