Jack E. Wiswasser

Jack E. Wiswasser, age 85 of East Lansing/Bath Township passed away peacefully at his home early Sunday, May 1, 2022. A funeral service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, 203 East First North St., Laingsburg, MI 48848. Interment immediately following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at the funeral home as well as one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Jack was born December 17, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan the only child of Virgil "V.J." and Leatha "Lee" Wiswasser. He was a 1956 graduate of Bath Community Schools. He married his sweetheart Patricia on August 10, 1957, at Lakeside Chapel in Bath. Together they raised their family in Bath Twp. Jack enjoyed being outdoors; camping, hunting, traveling, and especially fishing. He was an amateur HAM radio operator for more than 60 years, with a call sign of WA8IAL. Jack was the owner and operator of Jack's Garage until his retirement in 2000. He also was employed with Bath Community Schools for over 30 years. Jack was community minded throughout his life; he served on both the Clinton County and Bath Township Planning Commissions for many years.
Jack is survived by his wife; Patricia of 64 years, his children; Cindy (David) Henley and Steven (Robin) Wiswasser, his grandchildren; Andrew Steven (Christina) Wiswasser, Katelyn Ann Henley, and Alex Jack (Brittnay) Wiswasser, his 5 great-grandchildren, and many close friends and neighbors.
