Linda Kay Bennett, age 69 of Howard City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at her home. A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, 203 E. First North St., Laingsburg, MI 48848. Interment will take place immediately following at Laingsburg Cemetery. Pastor Kendra Holcomb-Densmore will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Born on December 31, 1955, in Lansing, Michigan, to Dewey and Betty (Teall) Morley, Linda's life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and dedication.

Linda was a proud 1974 graduate of Laingsburg High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships and laid the foundations for her future. Her caring nature led her to a fulfilling career as a home health aide after obtaining her certification as a nurse's assistant. She devoted many years to serving her community through her work with CMH and Green Acres, where her selflessness and thoughtful approach to care was well recognized by her patients and their families.

Beyond her professional life, Linda's passions were varied. She shared a deep love for animals with her husband, Richard Bennett, and their home was always a welcoming place for their beloved dogs over the years. She had a passion for horses too. Together, she and Richard enjoyed traveling to antique tractor shows, a hobby that combined their love for history and the outdoors. Linda's competitive spirit shone through during lively games of euchre at the American Legion in Morley.

Family was the cornerstone of Linda's world. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Bennett; her daughter, Shannon (Morley) Jones; her grandchildren, Lacey Morley, Chance LaClair and Laney Morley and her great-grandchildren, Joey, Myles, Owen, and grand puppy Kujo, who brought her immeasurable joy. Linda also leaves behind her step-sons, Rick Bennett and Jeff Bennett, and step-grandchildren, Dylan Bennett, Jordan Geister, Justice Bouck, Hunter Bennett, Jesse Bennett, Brandon Bennett, John Bennett, and Anthony Bennett. Her sisters, Teresa (Dave) Herbers and Kathy Plaace, will miss her loving guidance, as well as her niece, Jennifer (Todd)Rubino and nephews, Patrick and James Hurst. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Betty and her sisters Marilyn and Carolyn.

Memorials are suggested to Shannon Jones for future designation.
