Jackie Janell Bush

Jackie Janell Bush, 76, passed away on 08/02/2023 while on hospice at The Madison Health and Rehab in Madison, MS. Funeral services will be held at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation on Saturday, 08/05/2023, will be from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. There will also be visitation on Sunday, 08/06/2023, from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. with the service to follow at the same location starting at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at a later date for immediate family.
Jackie devoted several years of her life to working at Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol Headquarters in Jackson, MS, where she formed many lifelong friendships. Jackie cheerfully greeted everyone with a big smile and usually you would also get a "Hey, Darling" even if she saw you on a daily basis. She never met a stranger and always made everyone feel welcome in her presence and in her home. She was loved and cherished by many people who continue to share their memories with the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents J.E. (Jack) and Rachel Stuart and her brother Allen Stuart. She is survived by her husband, N. E. Bush; son James Thompson (Kim); daughter Tammy Hanna (Draten); granddaughter Morgan Thomas (Guy); along with several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hospice Ministries and The Madison for their compassion and the outstanding care Jackie received while at the facility.
