Jackie is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Shanda (Jack) Obringer, Piqua, OH, two sons and daughter-in-law: Jack (Tonya) Derr, Troy, OH and Jeremy Derr, Dayton, OH; his brother: Robert Derr, Covington, OH; three grandchildren: Whitney Obringer, Abigail (Greg) Wolffman, Arielle (William) Ratliff; three great-grandchildren: Ellianna Glenn, Amelia Wolffram, Gabriel Mckellar; his best friend and dog Joe. Besides his parents Jackie was preceded in death by one sister: Eileen Hyatt and one brother: Bill Derr.
Jackie worked for Decker Packaging Plant in Piqua for over 20 years. He also worked for Dinner Bell and then he worked and retired from Orkin Pest Control Jackie enjoyed working on roofs and cars, he also enjoyed snow plowing. He loved fast cars and loved racing cars at Shelby Speedway.
A private Celebration of Jackie's life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Animal Shelter 1110 N. County Rd 25A Troy, OH. 45373.
