Jackie Lee Jennings, 72, of Montcalm, WV, passed Monday, November 25, 2024, at Bland County Nursing and Rehab, surrounded by his family.
Born September 29, 1952, in Montcalm, WV, he was a son of the late Woodrow L. and Delma Reed Jennings. Jackie was a lifelong resident of the Montcalm/Bluefield area. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. Jackie was a United States Veteran, serving in the United States Army. Jackie enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved his antique cars and attending car shows. He was a member of the East River Street Rods Association. Most times, you could find Jackie enjoying his time with close friends at the Tudor's in Bluewell.
In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by a brother, Larry R. Jennings and sister, Linda Mullins.
Those left to cherish Jackie's memory are his children, Sara Ayers and husband Clay, of Bluefield, WV, Tonya Jennings Walters and Heath Rucker, of Clover, SC, Joey Jennings and wife Katie of Bluefield, VA, and Jill Green and husband James, of Bluefield, WV; sisters, Joyce Gentry of Crumpler, WV, Carolyn Bailey and husband Kenneth of Crumpler, WV, Mildred Harden of Princeton, WV, and Sharon Sizemore and husband George of Bluewell, WV; six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV, with Rev. N. R. Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV, with Everett Perry, Dakota Lewis, Darrell Bailey, Kenneth Mullins, Brandon Mullins, and Derek Mullins serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM, at the funeral home.
