Jackie Clayton "Jack" Townsend

Jackie "Jack" C. Townsend 66, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his home. He was born July 9, 1959 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Mary and Virgil Townsend. He attended Savannah High School and Penn State University. Jack married Jennifer Erickson on June 21, 2014. He worked at Mead Products, Artisian Ice, and Albaugh Industries. He enjoyed shooting pool, riding his motorcycle, mushroom hunting, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Michael Townsend Sr, and a nephew, Michael Townsend Jr. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Townsend of the home, daughter, Natasha Bennett of Kansas City, MO, step children: Michael Erickson, and Jaycee Erickson, and four grandchildren, siblings: Floyd (Tena) Townsend, Pat (Sue) Townsend, Ramona Cates, and half sisters, Phyllis and Judy.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Friday with a Celebration of Life starting at 3:00 pm Friday, January 23, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home.
