Jackoleen "Jackie" Taylor Wright, age 89, of Whitesburg, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025. She was born on August 6, 1936, in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Willie Lee Taylor and Lillian Cowart Taylor.
Jackie was known for her strong work ethic, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. Throughout her career, she worked at Sony Music and Sewell Manufacturing Company, where her dedication and friendly nature made her a joy to be around.
A longtime member of Ephesus Christian Church, Jackie also regularly attended Whitesburg Christian Church and loved both of her church families dearly. To her family, Jackie was the heart of the home. She was a loyal wife, a devoted mother, and a loving grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for others. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved nothing more than spending time surrounded by them.
In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Lee Wright; brothers, Willie Taylor, Ray Taylor, Milford Taylor, and Calvin Taylor; sisters, Clera Cook, Reba Taylor, Lillie McGuire, and Edna Key; son-in-law, Randy Musick; and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Wright.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and family in her children and their spouses, Hilda & Doyle Jeffers, Melba Musick, Ronnie Wright, and David & Tammy Wright; her sisters, Betty Key and Judy Sanders; her brother, Sondril Cook; ten grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Mrs. Jackie's life on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Minister Barry Shoemake and Mr. Randy Knight officiating.
