Jacob Dickson Mallonee, of
Spokane Valley, Washington, passed away in his sleep at the age of 22 on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Rexburg, Idaho. He was born on July 17, 2003, in
Gresham, Oregon, to David and Shawna (Jones) Mallonee.
Jacob grew up in
Spokane Valley, Washington. He attended University Elementary School and Bowdish Middle School, and he graduated with honors from University High School in 2021. At the time of his passing, Jacob was studying at Brigham Young University-Idaho, and was awarded his associate degree posthumously.
Jacob is an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and honorably served a two-year mission in Charleston, West Virginia.
Jacob enjoyed cooking, hiking, spending time with his family and friends, 3D printing, playing video games, and photography. A gentle soul, Jacob never said a bad word about anyone, had a quick wit, and was known for his amazing bear hugs.
Jacob's passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by many who love him and who look forward with faith to a joyful reunion in the world to come.
Jacob is survived by his parents, David and Shawna Mallonee; brothers, Spencer, Benjamin, Matthew, and Nathan Mallonee; grandparents, Sue Mallonee, Gary Jones, and Linda Jones. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Mallonee, and his uncle, Tom Mallonee.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 13608 E. Belle Terre Ave,
Spokane Valley, WA 99037.
