Jacqueline Marie (Findley) Biggs was born October 26, 1941, in Norwood, MO, to George and Myrtle (Shores) Findley. Based on her faith in Jesus Christ she was embraced and greeted by her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2025, at the age of 83.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents George and Myrtle Findley; her beloved husband of 46 years, Dewie; five brothers, Shelby, Bob, Jim, Wayne, Mike, and Noel Findley; and two sisters, Pauline Price and Joan Beckham.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Matherly of Fordland, MO, and her husband Larry; her daughter, Kim Taylor of Vonore, TN and her husband, Lee; her granddaughter Ashlee Barnes of Maryville, TN and her husband, Josh; her granddaughter Christina Matherly of Springfield, MO, and her fiancée, Joseph Stockton; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Findley and Nan Casey; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Beckham and Emmett Biggs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jackie spent most of her childhood in Mansfield, MO. After graduating high school, she moved to Wichita, KS, for a short time before moving to Kansas City where she met Dewie, the love of her life. After they married in October 1960, they raised their family in Raytown, MO, until 1993. During this time, they were active members and servants at Victory Baptist Church. After leaving Raytown they moved to Springfield, MO, where Jackie continued to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City until her retirement. After retirement they enjoyed many years traveling, visiting with family and friends until Dewie's death in 2007. Jackie and Dewie were active members of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church. Jackie continued to attend and serve at Sovereign Grace after Dewie's death until the time she was physically no longer able to attend.
Those who knew Jackie will remember her for her wisdom, hospitality and compassion to those around her. Most of all she was known for her deep-rooted faith in Jesus and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to those around her. She was deeply loved and cherished by her granddaughters, and she showered them with her love. Ashlee and Christina often looked to her for wisdom and encouragement.
A Celebration of Jackie's life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 am, until the service begins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to The Gideons International. Jackie loved God's Word and would want the gospel shared with others.
Care has been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
