Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Congdon, age 64, of State Route 5s, Fort Plain (Town of Danube), passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Amsterdam, following a long illness.
She was born in Little Falls on Nov. 5, 1959, daughter of the late Larry Congdon, Sr., and Jessie (Debus) Congdon of Fort Plain and attended St. Johnsville schools. She was preceded in death by her step father, Walter Debus and her fiancé, David Cook, Sr. She was last employed with Richardson Manufacturing, Canajoharie. Jacqueline loved the times spent with her beloved dogs, Bella and Stella. She enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions. Above all, Jackie treasured the moments spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother, Jessie (Debus) Moyer of Ft. Plain, her adored and loved wholeheartedly daughter, JamieLynn Lahut and John Gallt of Ft. Plain; her five cherished grandchildren, De’Shawn, Jeffrey, Trentin, Korey, Jr., and MikennaLynn, great grandson, Denzal; her siblings, Jean Congdon and husband Rick of Danube, Terry Congdon and wife Lori of Little Falls, Barry Congdon and wife Melissa of Little Falls; many nieces, nephews and cousins, She was preceded in death by three brothers and her father Larry Sr. , Tracy, Larry Congdon, Jr., and Charles Congdon and by her beloved canine companion, Squish.
A memorial service will commence on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 1 pm from Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations-Daniel J. Enea, Director, 7507 State Route 5, between St. Johnsville and Little Falls, 315-508-5131 where family and friends will celebrate her life. Visitation will take place at MVFC on Monday, from 12-1 pm, prior to the service. Burial will be private.
