Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford;
Jacqueline Hughes,64, of Abbeville, passed away on Tuesday, October 02, 2025, at Yalobusha General Hospital and Nursing Home.
Jacqueline was born on October 18, 1960, as one of the four children born to Frankye Jenkins Hughes and the late Raymond Arthur Hughes.
The family will celebrate her life at First Baptist Church of Abbeville on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 4:30pm.
Jacqueline had a creative soul and enjoyed crafting in many forms, especially beading and working in her mandala coloring books. She also loved sharing life's moments and keeping up with family and friends through social media, especially Facebook. Jewelry was one of her favorite joys, and she delighted in both wearing it and collecting it. She attended First Baptist Church Abbeville, where her warm spirit and gentle heart were known to all.
Jacqueline had a special place in her heart for all children, particularly her nieces and nephews, who brought her endless happiness. Her caring nature, sense of fun, and generous love will always be remembered by those who knew her.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and church community, but her memory will live on in the laughter, creativity, and love she shared throughout her life.
Jacqueline is survived by her mother, Frankye Jenkins Hughes of Abbeville; one daughter, Ame Owens of Port Angeles, Washington; two sons, Timothy Owens of Umatilla, Oregon, and Nicholas Owens; one sister, Janice Salazar of North Las Vegas, Nevada; and longtime friend, Tonya Greer of Abbeville, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Arthur Hughes; two brothers: Raymond Arthur Hughes Jr., and Lee Hughes.
The staff at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is honored to serve the family during this challenging season of life. Condolences may be expressed online on her Tribute wall at www.colemanfuneralhomeox.com.
