Jacqueline J. Paszek

Jacqueline J. "Jaki" Paszek, age 43, of Morris, passed away on October 19, 2025. She was born August 18, 1982, in Morris and a graduate of GSW High School with the class of 2000, she carried on to further her education, earning her Associate's degree as a Paralegal. Jaki's life was enriched by her beloved family. She is survived by her father, Dale (Sheila) Halstead, and step father, Jeff Cooper; her cherished son, Casey Ness; her stepchildren, Alyssa and Avery; and her siblings, Jason (Liz) Halstead, Jeremy (Trish) Halstead, and Michelle Rowbottom, along with several nieces and nephews. In 2009, Jaki married the love of her life, Bryon Paszek. She is preceded by her mother Lori and husband Bryon. Jaki's commitment to her community was demonstrated through her volunteer work with Hands of Dignity, an organization she supported with her mother, Lori. She was happiest when outdoors, whether it was camping under the stars or gathering with friends and family around a campfire. An avid pistol shooter, Jaki found joy in honing her skills at the range. Her love for cooking, gardening, and the thrill of riding coasters at Great America were just a few of the passions that filled her life with excitement. Jaki's affection for her "four-legged children," Mocha, Thor, and Simba, was unparalleled. She cared for her pets with a tenderness and devotion that truly exemplified her capacity for unconditional love. A visitation for Jaki will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris. Jaki will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on October 30, 2025, at 10:00 am. Cremation rites will be accorded.
