Chesapeake, VA: Jacqueline Edith Splaine (Frigon), 73, formerly of Brimfield, passed away on August 6th, 2025, at Sentara Leigh Hospital, after a brief illness.

Jackie leaves behind her beloved children: her daughter Kimberly Moran and husband CJ of Virginia, her daughter Elissa Splaine and fiance Ted Kubicki of Brimfield, and her daughter Serenity Allen and husband David of West Brookfield; her son Mikey Splaine and his wife Tabitha of Warren. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Joshua, Tommy, Casey, Esme, Jack, Sean and Cadence.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Michael L. Splaine in 2016. The two met at the former Galileo in Sturbridge, married at St. Mary's in Southbridge, and raised a family of 4 children in Holland, Mass. Jackie and a friend started a floral arrangement business named Floral Dreams and provided arrangements for dance recitals and weddings. Later Jackie opened her home to many children as she became a daycare provider. Her love of animals, children, and flowers was always evident in her life. Her free time consisted of lush gardens, having many laughs with her children, and enjoying the companionship of pets. Jackie was an animal lover and was also predeceased earlier this year by her constant companions, her puppies, Scrappy and Gingy.

Jackie absolutely loved to have fun and enjoyed the nights out with her children and husband, dancing the night away at local concerts and bands. She loved the beach and enjoyed family trips to Cape Cod most every summer. Friends were always welcomed at cookouts and holiday parties, Halloween was her specialty. She opened her home to those who needed a meal, a bed for the night, or an ear to listen.

Jackie was raised in Enfield, CT on a farm where she grew up barrel racing with her best friend, a buckskin named Beauty. Losing her mom to rheumatic fever when she was 5 years old, Jackie grew up on that farm as a somewhat wild child. Her life was filled with many amazing and sometimes unbelievable stories. But her favorite story of all was the family she nurtured and the life she lived with them. Jackie's legacy of love, generosity, and quiet strength will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Calling hours for Jacqueline will be held on Monday, August 18th, from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home at 7:00pm. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge, will be held at the convenience of the family.
