Jacquelyn Sears

Jacquelyn Sears, 79, of Attleboro, MA, passed peacefully on June 11, 2025. Born on April 8, 1946, in Attleboro, MA, Jacquelyn was a proud graduate of Attleboro High School, class of 1964. A lifelong resident of Attleboro, she worked diligently in the Dietary Department at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, and at the Attleboro Crossing Laundromat. She met her husband, John Sears, while taking a computer class and married him on November 4, 1967. Jacquelyn became a homemaker and lovingly raised the couple's three children. In her spare time, Jacquelyn was an avid reader and enjoyed playing computer games. She loved spending time with her family, getting together on the weekend and celebrating all of life's joys. Her quiet strength and caring heart left a lasting impact on all those who knew her.

Jacquelyn is survived by her daughter, Julie Donaldson and her husband John of McDonough, GA; her two sons, William Sears and his wife Michelle of Wrentham and Matthew J. Sears of Attleboro; her loving grandchildren, Alexander Donaldson of Williston, VT, Nicholas and Ryan Donaldson both of McDonough, GA and Riley and Owen Sears both of Wrentham and her two sisters, Cheryl Tate of Attleboro and Charyn Armstrong and her husband Harry of Attleboro. She also leaves many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John E. Sears; her parents, Palmer and Mildred (Fortier) Mounteer, her late grandson, Gabriel E. Sears; and her late brother-in-law, Kenneth Tate.

Her family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Comfort and Kelly, RN's at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, and Julia and Sarah, RN's at Hospice HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice, for their compassion and care during Jacquelyn's final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 5 - 7 pm at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA. Interment will follow at the North Purchase Cemetery in Attleboro.
