Jaime Rodriguez "Rocky" Hernandez

Jaime "Rocky" Rodriguez Hernandez, a beloved father, soldier, and friend, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the age of 29 in his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Carmen Hernandez de Jaquez
Jaime is survived by his parents Jaime Rodriguez Cordova and Blanca E. Hernandez Jaquez; children: Alexander Israel Rodriguez Hernandez, Maya Estella Rodriguez, Mason Hunter Maes, wife Nieka Rodriguez, an unborn baby Jameson Clark Rodriguez AKA "El Frijolito"; stepdaughters: Talia Autumn Dias, and Mila Mae Diaz.
Born on February 19, 1995, in the same vibrant city he adored, Rocky's larger-than-life presence and infectious spirit were a gift to all who knew him.
Rocky's passion for life was evident in everything he did. From his early days, he was drawn to the discipline and camaraderie of the army, which became one of his proudest achievements. His dedication to fitness was more than a hobby; it was a way of life that he cultivated through countless hours at the gym and in preparing for bodybuilding competitions. Rocky's commitment to his job was matched only by his devotion to his children and the joy he found in helping others.
A true friend with a heart of gold, Rocky was always the first to lend a hand or share a laugh. His love for video games offered a playful escape and a way to connect with friends and his children. Albuquerque was his sanctuary, but he often spoke of exploring new horizons in a place graced with winter's touch.
Rocky's life was a melody composed of his favorite country tunes, the heat of green chile, and the comfort of his mom's cooking. A fan of boxing, he approached life with the same strategic mindset and resilience. Camping under the stars was a cherished escape that allowed him to share his adventurous spirit with his loved ones.
Joining the military was not just a career choice for Rocky; it was a calling to serve and protect, reflecting his innate desire to make a difference. His dream of fatherhood was realized with his three beautiful children, and the excitement of welcoming a fourth was a source of immense joy.
Among his treasured possessions were his Superman figurines, a testament to the hero he was in the eyes of many. His collection of tools spoke to his practical nature, while his penchant for organization and cleanliness was legendary. Rocky's humor and generosity knew no bounds, and his legacy is one of laughter, adventure, and passion.
Jaime "Rocky" Rodriguez Hernandez will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit, a beacon of kindness and strength, will continue to inspire and guide us. Rocky's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St. NE, 87110. Service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:30am at Sagebrush Church located at 1613 Arizona St. NE, 87110. Rocky will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30pm located at 501 N Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, 87501.
Pallbearers will be Jesus Hernandez, Sr., Jesus Hernandez, Jr., Martin Hernandez, Sr., Martin Hernandez, Jr., Adrian Hernandez, and Hugo Ruiz.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesus Javier Rodriguez Cordova and Omar Hernandez.
