In Loving Memory of Jake Anthony Navarro
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jake Anthony Navarro, a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, who left this world at the youthful age of 27. Jake departed from us on October 30, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, warmth, a sincere and selfless love for all he met and faith in Jesus Christ. His vibrant spirit, immense heart, infectious smile, and Catholic faith were a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jake was born on August 21, 1996 in Columbus,OH, to Tony and Beth Navarro, filling their lives and the lives of his extended family with joy and laughter from the moment he came into this world. From his earliest days, Jake exhibited a remarkable capacity for humor, loyalty, enthusiasm and love, filled with boundless energy and an incredible imagination, always putting the needs of others before his own.
Jake started school in Yorba Linda, CA finished kindergarten in Sparta NJ before moving with his parents and younger sister Abby to Roswell, GA where he grew up. He graduated from Fellowship Christian HS and obtained his Associates degree from University of South Carolina along with programming certification from Georgia Tech. Jake worked a variety of sales and systems roles with King's Hawaiian, Automated Industrial Advantage and most recently with Bulls Eye Marksman Gun Club in Cumming, GA. He also started a non profit, The Fentanyl Project, designed to provide harm reduction materials and awareness to the fentanyl overdose crisis.
Jake was a great athlete and was good at everything he pursued from basketball, football, baseball, golf, surfing and snowboarding. His big heart knew no bounds as he dedicated himself to connecting people for business and social purposes. His infectious smile brightened the lives of everyone he encountered, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. He was a loyal friend, a supportive and thoughtful big brother and a fun loving nephew and cousin. His dedication to both sets of grandparents was noble, never turning down opportunities to assist them with physical or technological tasks or simply hang out and watch movies.
He is survived by his loving parents, Tony and Beth Navarro from Cumming, GA, his sister, Abby from Greenville, SC, his grandparents Pablo and Amalia Navarro from Suwanee, GA and his beloved dog and constant companion, Benji, along with a large extended family of uncles, aunts and cousins spanning from Ohio, California, Texas, New Mexico, Florida, North and South Carolina, Arizona, London England, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Colombia South America. He is preceeded in death by grandparents Bernie and Fran Schreiber and his uncle Paul Navarro.
A visitation for Jake will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming GA on Wednesday November 1 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held in honor of Jake at St Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Cumming GA on November 2, 2023, at 1 pm., followed by a reception downstairs in the Social Hall.
Though Jake's time with us was far too brief, the impact of his life will be felt for eternity. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of the Lord, and may his memory serve as a beacon of love and faith for all who were touched by his life.
Rest in peace, dear Jake. Your kindness and light will be forever cherished and deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing you, loving you and being loved by you.
We encourage everyone who knew Jake to share your memories and upload photos of him on his memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a comforting reminder of the remarkable individual Jake was, and the legacy he leaves behind. The love he shared, the lives he touched, and the difference he made in this world are his lasting gift to us all.

Although I did not have the honor of knowing Jake I did work with his Dad Tony for many years at Coke and I wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of Jakes death. It´s hard to know GODs plan but all of us are on earth a short time and each moment with our children is a blessing. My prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Jake was always a funny guy but watching him hold his Dog like a baby, and how much he loved and cared for Benji was so sweet! I know he would have been a fun dad!

My heart hurts. Though Jake and I unfortunately didn´t have many interactions while attending USC at the same time, those few times we did cross paths and talk, I remember them so vividly because of how full of life, charming and kind he was. His beautiful and beaming soul made a memorable mark on me and I know he must´ve touched so many other lives in this same way.

Praying for peace to wash over his loved ones and sending all my love and prayers their way.

Sincerely,
Sara Hardin Ashmore
