Mary Dodd

Our hearts are broken as we said goodbye on October 22nd to our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Mary F. Dodd. At 91 years old, she left this world the way she lived in it - peacefully, surrounded by love, and with a quiet strength that never wavered.
She found beauty in the smallest things: a bird at the feeder, a bloom opening in her garden, a kind stranger passing by. She loved to sit and watch the world with gentle curiosity, always noticing the good in people, always finding joy in life's simple moments. Her garden was her sanctuary; each flower planted with the same tenderness she gave to everyone she loved.
Her laughter was soft but contagious, her hugs warm and lasting. To her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren she was the heart that held them together-a safe place of unconditional love and understanding. She cherished every story, every visit, every "I love you" whispered across time and generations.
Her Boston Terriers were her constant companions through the years, loyal little souls who mirrored her devotion and joy. Their presence, like hers, brought comfort and light to everyone around them.
Though her hands are now still, we feel her everywhere-in the scent of blooming flowers, in the sunlight streaming through the window, in the quiet moments where love lingers.
Her roots run deep in all of us, and her love will forever bloom in the gardens of our hearts.
Until we meet again, we'll keep her laughter in our memories, her love in our hearts, and her spirit in every flower that dares to grow.
Mary is preceded in death by her daughter; Melita Struve, and her great grandson; Trevor Jones.
Mary is survived by her children; Cheryl Dodd, Ronald Dodd (Nealie), Denise Bailey (David).
She is also survived by her son-in-law; Jack Struve, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 26th, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home and on Monday, October 27th, 2025 from 9:00am-11:00am.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home on Monday, October 27th, 2025 at 11:00am with Rev. John Gherardini officiating.
Interment will follow at 2:00pm at Floral Hills Cemetery in Tucker, Georgia.
