Jamaya Dechelle Rush was born on May 17, 1998, in
Atlanta, Georgia, a day the world became brighter simply because she entered it. On December 16, 2025, Jamaya peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a legacy of love that can never be erased. Though her time on Earth was far too short, her purpose was fulfilled in the countless lives she touched, the love she poured out, and the strength she carried with grace. Jamaya was preceded in death by her beloved maternal grandmother, Dorris Ann Rush, whose presence and guidance helped shape Jamaya's gentle spirit.
We take comfort in believing they are reunited again, wrapped in peace and everlasting love. She leaves behind her loving parents, Jimmy N. Partee and Alfreda Rush, who raised her with love and watched her grow into a beautiful woman. Jamaya was deeply cherished as a daughter, and her love for her family was fierce and unconditional. Above all else, Jamaya's greatest role and proudest accomplishment was being a mother. She was a devoted, nurturing, and selfless mother to her precious children, Brayden Rush and Trenity Dukes. They were her heartbeat, her joy, and her motivation. Everything Jamaya did was for her children - their smiles gave her strength, their laughter brought her peace, and their futures were her greatest prayers. Her love for them was deep, intentional, and everlasting, and that love will continue to guide them every step of their lives.
Jamaya shared an unbreakable bond with her sisters, Latoya Coney, Doriann Partee, Antonia Rush, Jamecia Partee, Adriana Jackson, and Navani Partee. She was not only a sister by blood, but a confidant, protector, and source of encouragement. Whether through laughter, late-night talks, or quiet moments of support, Jamaya's love was always present and deeply felt. She also leaves to cherish her memory her beloved grandmother, Ruby Ann Partee. Along with her parents and siblings, Jamaya is remembered by a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and loved ones who were blessed to experience her warmth and vibrant personality. Jamaya's life was enriched by the deep and genuine friendships she formed along the way. She shared a special bond with her best friends, Taylor Willis and Dmarcus Neloms, whose friendship brought laughter, loyalty, and countless cherished memories. Their connection was built on love and shared experiences that will live on forever.
Jamaya was known for her outgoing spirit and the way she loved without conditions. She had a natural gift for making others feel comfortable, understood, and accepted. Her presence was calming, her words were gentle, and her heart was pure. She carried strength quietly, endured hardships with grace, and continued to love even when life was difficult. Jamaya showed us what it meant to be kind, resilient, and faithful to love. Her journey here was not always easy, yet she walked it with courage and dignity. She showed up for the people she loved and never stopped trying to be better for her children and family. Jamaya fulfilled her assignment on Earth - to love deeply and leave this world better than she found it.
Today, while our hearts are heavy, we also celebrate a life well lived and a job well done. Jamaya's work is complete, her burdens are lifted, and her spirit is at peace. Though we will miss her physical presence, her love remains alive in every memory, every smile she inspired, and every heart she touched. Jamaya Rush will forever live on through her children, her family, and all who were blessed to know her. She is deeply loved, profoundly missed, and eternally remembered. Her legacy is love - and that love will never fade.
