Uncle Jimmy was an honorary member of the Murphy-Tayem family. He was always there to support us and made every activity more fun. He always had us laughing while driving around in "the beast." There wasn´t a family event that he wasn´t a part of. Everyone that knew him adored him. He was kind, generous, funny and just a truly top-tier human being. He came to my wedding and even joined in for yoga with the bride. He helped me move into my dorm when I interned in NYC. In high school, he even drove me into the city so my friend Ellen and I could go see the Jonas Brothers in Central Park. While he was my mom´s dearest childhood friend, he became my dear friend too. Jimmy, I know you are in heaven with your brother and possibly even having a beer with my nana, Peaches. God needed you sooner than we would have liked. We are heartbroken and experiencing a hole in our hearts that we´ve never felt before. But we are relying on faith that is part of God´s plan. I hope you know just how much we loved you and will always love you. You have left a handprint on all of our hearts and we all feel changed for the better because you were our friend. Until we meet again my truly wonderful, Uncle Jimmy. One of the best people I have ever known and now my guardian angel.

James welcomed me in as a member of the family from the first time I met him. His smile and laugh were infectious. When I think of him, I will always think of the fun we all had together. He will be missed. May his love live on in all of you. With deepest sympathy. Love and prayers. Sandy Faust-Mesropian

There are so many fond memories of the times we shared with Jimmy as a group of friends from Pine Dr and Tamarac .Driving us in the VW van all over the place, trying to teach us how to drive stick shift , cruising through the park in the dark , Rye Playland , taking me to the Prom and going to NYC to concerts. He had a great sense of humor - once found a blinking road caution sign and moved it around in front of our houses after a snow storm. First a mystery as to who was moving this sign around we laughed when we found out who was behind it, Jimmy ! After ,he picked it up and brought it back to where he found it. LOL Rest in Peace my friend i know Stephen is there with you . My heartfelt sympathy you all

I have fun memories of Jimmy teaching a few of us girls in the neighborhood how to drive at the Don Bosco parking lot in his Volkswagen van. We were just turning 16 and thought he was so cool.

He will always be "Jamey" to me . Almost all of my childhood memories include the Anderson's... An especially fun memory: Nancy, Mary and I decided to camp out one summer night, and, for some long forgotten reason, we slept in their garage instead of under the stars. When we awoke in the morning we were horrified to discover that Stephen and Jamey had joined us! Ugh, boys!!!

As a kid I remember James breaking through a wall he must have been a teenager to create a picture window my mom wanted in our dining room. He took a sledge hammer and put a window which is still there today. James was five years older than me and till this day I remember thinking omg he just broke through a wall in our house
