James Kenneth Angel, 76 of Cloverdale, passed away peacefully in his home Saturday, August 30, 2025. The graveside service will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Pisgah Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. Dwayne McDuff officiating.
Kenneth lived all his life in Cloverdale. He was a graduate of Central High School and UNA. He was a retired educator with the Lauderdale County School System. He also served in the National Guard for seven years.
Kenneth loved working on his farm with his tractor and animals. He loved and cherished his time with his two grandchildren. Kenneth believed in God's grace and goodness.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Angel; his sons, Steven and Josh Angel; his daughter, Jennifer Angel Kerby and her husband Jeremy; his grandchildren, Chandler Brooks Kerby and Charlee Kate Kerby; his sister-in-law, Carolyn Angel; his sisters, Pearlene Creasy, Wanda Smith (Kenny) and Connie Brown (Joel).
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bertha Angel; his brother and sister-in-law, Roy Angel (Bobbie); his brother, Ray Angel; and his brother-in-law, Charlie Creasy.
Pallbearers will be Mike Angel, Mark Angel, Sam Black, Jeremy Kerby, Chandler Kerby, and Shannon Shook.
Honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Smith.
Our family would like to extend an extra special Thank You to all the staff of Gentiva Hospice, who helped us in our time of need. They were all loving, kind, gracious and helpful.
