James Edward "Snowman" Atwood, Jr., of Campbellsville, the son of the late James Edward Atwood, Sr., and Bertha Marie (Cox) Sluder, was born September 21, 1962, in Campbellsville and departed this life on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 63 years of age.
He was a mechanic and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Stephanie (Rogers) Atwood; his children: Colby Atwood and companion Laurel Gillmer, Jamie Atwood, Brandon Cox, Jared Cox and companion Lora Jessie, Harley Cox, and Caleb Buckman and wife Sarah.
Also four brothers and a sister: Joy Mae Helm, Jerry Atwood, Roger Atwood, Theresa Gail Atwood and Waylon Atwood, and companion Rochelle.
Twenty-one grandchildren: Keyton, Kynlee, Emily, Alex, Justice, Colby, Braydn, Braylynn, Josie, Josslynn, Kylee, Laina, Bentley, Aubrey, Katon, Brayson, Kingston, Stella Mae, John, Mary Clair, and Aquistia.
His mother-in-law and father-in-law: Robert and Nancy Rogers.
Besides his father and mother, he was preceded in death by a grandchild: Kingston.
FUNERAL: Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 1:00 P.M.
L.R. Petty Funeral Home, Campbellsville Chapel
OFFICIATING: Bro. Brian Smith
INTERMENT: Jones Chapel Cemetery.
VISITATION: Sunday after 11:00 A.M.
