James Wesley Aymond, Sr was born on October 11, 1944 in Vick, La to the parents of Louis and Avy Aymond and passed on to his Heavenly home on January 2, 2025 surrounded by his family.
A farmer by trade, James was known for his work ethic, loyalty, honesty and kindness. He loved fishing, reading his westerns and listening to old country music. He lived his life quietly, choosing to focus on his family. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. His legacy will live on in the lessons that he taught us and the love he showed us.
James is preceded in death by his father Louis Aymond, his mother Avy Aymond, his beloved wife Margaret Aymond, his sons Charles Aymond and Bruce (Jo Jo) Aymond, his daughter Laura Aymond, his sisters Wilma Whittington, Doris Lux, Margaret Howard, and Hazel Bumpous, his brothers J.W. Aymond, Louis Aymond, Jr. and Huey Aymond.
He is survived by his son James Aymond, Jr and wife Linda of Dubach, his daughter Nikki Aymond of Wisner, his sister Aleane Sheridan of Katy, Tx, Daughters -in-lawChristy Aymond of Wisner and Lisa Aymond of Cincinnati, Oh. His grandchildren Wesley Aymond and wife Michelle of Winnsboro, David Aymond and wife Karra of Leesville, Jesseca Schweiger and husband Nathan of Dodson, Christie Nelson and husband Andy of West Monroe, Lindsay Aymond of Marthaville, Danielle Smith and husband Derek of Dubach, Michael Donald and wife Krista of Wisner, Victoria Andrews and husband Richard of Wisner. He is further survived by 16 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.
Memorial services for James will be held Saturday, January 11th at 2pm at Dennard's Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
