He worked 40 years for Haliburton before retiring in 2016 as an Engineering Technician. James loved fishing and working with wood. In his younger years he loved coaching PeeWee Football.
James is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn of Aubrey, TX; son, Joshua Baser of Aubrey, TX; daughter, Denice Lane of Aubrey, TX; grandson, Brendan Lane of Denton, TX; granddaughters, Cassidy Blair of Denton, TX and Annalia Baser of Dallas, TX; and sister, Carolyn Kernal of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Vera; son, James Christopher Baser; and granddaughter, Makayla Villatoro.
Visitation will be held 3:00PM-4:00PM, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX. Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center.
