James A. "Lisa" Bass, aged 66, of Springfield, MO, passed away on February 18, 2025, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO. leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love. James was born on January 9, 1959, in Springfield, MO. to Billy and Dorothy Atkins) Bass.
James was a cherished member of his community and will be remembered for his unwavering spirit and commitment to his craft as a glass glazer at Carsten Auto Glass Company, and other companies where he had worked.
Throughout his life, James embraced challenges with a tenacity that inspired those around him. Though he pursued his career without a formal degree, he amassed a wealth of knowledge and skill in the auto glass installation industry, where he earned the respect and admiration of both colleagues and customers alike. His meticulous attention to detail made him a standout professional, and his friendly demeanor brought warmth to every job.
James was preceded in death by his parents and by his son, Billy Bass
James is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine (Kemp) Bass, who stood by his side through all of life's adventures. Together, they created a life rich with love, laughter, and memories that will be cherished by all who knew them. He is also survived by his step-daughter: Kaylee Peterson, his grand-daughter: Zaira Campolo, grandson: Billy Bass Jr. and two sisters: Billie and Janie.
In honor of James's life and contributions, a memorial visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, on Wednesday, Febreary 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where family and friends will gather to share their memories and celebrate his remarkable journey.
As we remember James A. Bass, let us find comfort in the legacy he leaves behind-a testament to a life lived fully and with love. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.
