Mr. James Street Beard, 67 of Roseboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 3, 2025 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital surrounded by his family.
No services will be held at this time.
Mr. Beard was a native of Sampson County, the son of Albert Floyd Beard, II and Grace Johnson Beard. He was preceded in death by his parents; and great-grandson, Silas June Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Kay Johnson Beard of the home; two daughters, Stephanie Beard Matarese and husband, Mario of Fayetteville; and Amanda Sessoms Jackson and husband, Chris of Roseboro; six grandchildren, Logan Matarese, Eva Grace Matarese, Andrew Matarese, Cameron Sessoms, Kayley James (BJ) and Kyndall James; and five brothers.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC 28382.
