James Paul Beier, born November 15, 1941 in Fremont, Ohio passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 83.
Jim graduated from St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in 1960. Jim was a competitive standout athlete who paved the way for the other Beier brothers. After high school, Jim served our country in the Army National Guard and then started an apprenticeship program as a bricklayer. From there he went on to work for the Mosser Construction Company where he spent 38 years as a bricklayer and bricklayer foreman. He loved spending time with his family, visiting his friends, grilling, and taking care of his garden.
Jim was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was dearly loved by friends and family and will be missed deeply. He was a die hard Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians Fan. He could be found in his garage watching the Browns on TV or sitting in his chair listening to the Indians game anytime they were on. He loved to joke around and even though he might not have been the loudest at the party, he was always the life of the party.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia (Marinis) Beier, of 58 years. Daughter Jamie Young, son-in-law, Brad Young, son Mark Beier, daughter-in-law Jenny (Skizas) Beier, grandchildren, Alex Young, Taylor Young, Tyler Young, Brooke Young, Elli Beier and Tucker Beier. He was the oldest of nine siblings and is survived by Tom (Lynn) Beier, Mike (Shari) Beier, Steve (Beth) Beier, Barb (Roger) Haynes, Bill (Lynn) Beier, Chuck (Mary) Beier and Jan (Jerry) Dickman and sister-in-law Sharon Beier. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ruth Beier, his brother Fred Beier, and his granddaughter Payton Young.
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 2nd from 4pm-7pm at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH;Vigil services will begin at 7:00P.M. A funeral mass will take place at St. Ann Church on Tuesday, June 3rd at 10:00am. Fr. Matthew Frisbee will officiate. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Immediately following the burial, a light luncheon will be held at the St Ann's Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the St. Joe Booster Club or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
