James “Billy” William Lamb, Jr., 81, loving husband of 61 years to Emily Allene Carpenter Lamb, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at his home. He was born in Madison County, Kentucky to the late James “Bill” William Lamb and Susie Magdalene Hill Lamb. Billy was a farmer, affectionally known as the “Tomato Man” for selling his produce and he also was a member of River View Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Allene, daughter, Billie Jo Lamb, three grandchildren, Jonathan William Lamb, Keith James Lamb, and Justin Dale Hager, two great grandchildren, Lanie Gardner and her husband, Hunter and Alden Lamb, a brother, Scottie Lamb, two sisters, Tammy Brockman and Sabrina Kelly. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Jessie Lynn Lamb, and Valerie Lynn Lamb and a brother, Charles “Harb” Lamb. The services will be 12:00 PM, noon on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home with James Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. The family will serve as bearers. The visitation will be 4-8 PM on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the funeral home.
